I’ve been offline for a while, while we’ve been moving house. It’s nice that they gave me an awesome heatwave to top it off, isn’t it?
At least it’s cooled down a bit now. We still have a lot of stuff to move from the old place, but hopefully we can get it done this weekend. Today we moved our frangipani, which we didn’t think was that big until we tried to put it in a pot!

In addition to lack of air conditioning in the new place, we’ve been without internet for the past week. We got it back but it’s been a bit slow (annoying!). Hopefully it will improve with a bit more fiddling about.
Anyway, we’ve hit a bit of a snag with our second set of costings, which we got back earlier this week. It seems that many things that we thought were included in the initial estimate, weren’t. There’s been a communication breakdown somewhere, which we need to work through at the meeting next week.
We’ve scheduled an hour with the architect first, and then the builder will join us. Depending on the outcome, it may be cheaper for us to switch builders. It’s not something we want to do, but we’ll see.
