Liebster Award

Back in November last year, I was nominated by the lovely Sheilzy for a Leibster award. I was busy at the time so put it aside for later, then subsequently forgot about it until now! Sheilzy is building her own dream home with Metricon, and it’s going to be a beauty! You can check out her blog here.

The Liebster Award is a way to recognise and encourage bloggers and connect them with other bloggers in the blogosphere. It’s basically a bunch of Q&As. The rules for the nomination are:

1. Link back and recognise the blogger who nominated you.
2. Answer ten questions given by the nominator.
3. Nominate ten other bloggers for the award.
4. Create ten questions for nominees to answer.
5. Notify your nominees.
6. Get an award button and display it proudly.

So, here we go!

1. Describe yourself in three words.

Short, dark hair, brown eyes. 🙂 No? Um, start with the hard one! Cheerful, optimistic, eccentric.

2. What does your family think of your blog?

Mr Trixee is a bit puzzled by the whole concept, I think, but is happy to humour me 🙂 I don’t think the rest of the family knows!

3. What’s your favorite post that you’ve written and why? (Link, please!)

Are We Still Cooking With Gas? I’d discovered this report that echoed what I’d been thinking about at the time, and spent a bit of time researching it. It took a while to write but I found the subject matter fascinating.

4. What do you enjoy most about blogging?

I like how when I write, I’m forced to find the essence of what I’m trying to say. If a hole appears in my logic, I need to find out why and find the answer. If I’m having trouble deciding, I need to figure out what the important criteria are.  And once I’ve gone through all this effort, I like to share my findings and see what other people have to say about it.

5. What are three things you cannot live without?

Food, water, shelter. Oh alright!  Laughter, companionship, having a purpose.

6. Which song always gets you on the dance floor?

Dancing Queen.

7. What super power do you wish you have?

Teleportation. I hate driving!

8. What is your idea of heaven?

Delicious cocktails by the pool on a tropical island.

9. If you could meet one person from the past, who would it be?

My aunty who recently passed away, I found out about all the interesting stuff she did during WW2 after she passed but never got to hear the stories from her!

10. Favourite holiday destination.

For pure relaxation, any island in the South Pacific.
